How Yeti Handles Front Range TrailsÂ
Yeti has been building race-proven mountain bikes out of Golden, Colorado since 1985, and that home-state pedigree shows up the moment you point one downhill on Front Range terrain. Front Range trails like Apex Park are literally Yeti’s testing ground. At the heart of that confident ride feel is Yeti’s Switch Infinity suspension design. It uses a translating pivot built to keep the rear wheel active and composed through square-edge hits while staying efficient on the long, grinding climbs that define riding out here. On a loose-over-hardpack descent in the foothills, that suspension behavior lets the bike stay planted and predictable instead of skating off line.Â
What makes a Yeti worth riding in Colorado is how the frame, carbon layup, and suspension work together on terrain that demands both climbing efficiency and descending composure in the same ride. Front Range trails ask a bike to grind up a rocky, sustained climb without wallowing, then hold a line through a high-speed rock garden without getting knocked off course. That’s the gap Yeti’s engineering fills, and it’s a big part of why the brand has such a loyal following right here in its own backyard.Â
Why Buy Your Yeti at Base Camp Cyclery?Â
BCC Lifetime Warranty
Buy a Yeti bike from us and you’re covered by Lifetime Free Adjustments for as long as you own the bike. We also throw in a complimentary Basic Tune after your break-in period, catching stretched cables and settling components before they turn into bigger problems.Â
Custom Fitting and Setup
A Yeti bike straight off the spec sheet is a starting point, not a finished product. Our team fits the bike to you, adjusting handlebar width, stem, and saddle choice before you ever roll out the door, and our service department sets a proper baseline on air pressure and rebound so the bike feels right from your first ride.Â
No-Pressure Culture
There’s no clock running when you’re in our shop. Browse the floor, ask as many questions as you want, and swing a leg over anything that catches your eye. Our sales team gets paid to help you find the right bike, not to push you toward one, so you’ll get honest answers whether you’re buying your first mountain bike or your fifth.Â
Demo a Yeti on Colorado Dirt
Reading a geometry chart only tells you so much. Our demo fleet gets you on an actual Yeti, on actual Front Range dirt, so you know exactly how it climbs and descends before you hand over your card. Available demo models rotate with our current inventory, so check with the shop to see what’s out on the fleet this week. Demos run $150 a day, and if you end up buying, we’ll knock up to $600 off the price of your new bike.Â
